NH Amundi Asset Management said on the 24th that it has appointed Gil Jeong-seop as the new chief executive officer. His term begins on Jan. 1 next year and will last for two years.
CEO Gil graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in history and obtained a master's degree in international finance from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He joined the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation in 1990, where he held positions including head of the derivatives development team, head of the financial management team, head of the financial product development division at NongHyup Mutual Finance, head of the securities management department, and head of the Chungcheongnam-do regional headquarters. He served as vice president responsible for funds management at NongHyup Bank for two years from 2022. In 2023, he concurrently served as vice president in charge of asset strategy at NongHyup Financial Group.
A representative from NH Amundi Asset Management noted, "CEO Gil has over 30 years of rich experience in financial product development and asset management," adding that he has been appointed as the right person to lead NH Amundi Asset Management, which is preparing to jump to becoming a top-tier asset management company in the industry based on his experience collaborating with Amundi.
