Samjong KPMG published a report on the key trends and latest technological developments of the world's largest information technology (IT) and consumer electronics show, CES 2025 Preview: A Look at CES Trends, on the 20th. CES 2025 will be held in Las Vegas, United States, from the 7th to the 10th of next month.
The six major key trends identified by Samjong KPMG are ▲artificial intelligence (AI)·robotics ▲mobility ▲extended reality (XR) ▲smart home ▲digital healthcare ▲environmental, social, and governance (ESG).
Samjong KPMG anticipates that on-device (product-embedded) AI will attract attention at CES 2025. In particular, it is expected that technologies involving AI agents, which integrate various products such as robots and home appliances while minimizing user intervention to perform multiple functions, will garner interest. Corporations such as Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, SK Telecom, and SK Hynix also plan to unveil products incorporating AI technology.
In the mobility sector, products that can more effectively acquire data through the advancement of technologies such as cameras and sensors, along with software-defined vehicle (SDV) technology, are expected to emerge. Additionally, Samjong KPMG expressed expectations for infotainment products that will dramatically improve passenger convenience.
Samjong KPMG also evaluated that XR application technologies related to games and sports, smart home technologies combining AI and the Internet of Things (IoT), medical advancements through the integration of AI and medical data, and energy tech linked to energy transition should also be noted at CES 2025.
Yeom Seung-hoon, leader of the technology industry at Samjong KPMG, noted, "If the last CES demonstrated the potential of AI, CES 2025 will be a venue for presenting the actual application of AI technology and business models," adding, "I hope the report, which contains practical tips on exhibition zone characteristics and mobility methods, will provide substantial help to corporations."
Samjong KPMG also plans to release a video for CES 2025 attendees through its official YouTube channel.
