SBS's stock price surged following the news of a strategic partnership with Netflix Worldwide Entertainment.

SBS's stock was traded at 19,560 won on the KOSPI market at 1:19 p.m. on the 20th, marking a 27.1% increase (4,170 won) from the previous day. This is the first time in six months that SBS's stock price has exceeded 19,000 won.

SBS announced that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Netflix. According to the contract, some new dramas and entertainment programs, as well as pre-broadcast programs, will be supplied to Netflix domestically. SBS also plans to begin supplying new dramas overseas starting in the second half of 2025.

The size of the contract was not disclosed due to 'business confidentiality.'
