Mirae Asset Securities noted on the 19th that the customer valuation profit rate through overseas stock investment this year is 61.7%.
The company's explanation is that this is a high increase compared to the Nasdaq (33%), S&P 500 (27%), and KOSPI (-7%). Customer valuation profits from overseas stocks have increased by approximately 14 trillion won.
The rising trend in global asset value is reflected in the increased valuation profits for overseas stock investment customers, with overseas stock balances expanding from 30 trillion won at the end of June to 40 trillion won in just six months.
This rising trend has led to an increase in high-net-worth individuals. The number of transaction customers at Mirae Asset Securities with overseas stock valuations over 100 million won has increased by 64% compared to the previous year, reaching 61,005. In particular, about 60% of clients who became asset holders with over 100 million won this year increased their assets through overseas stock investments, and those holding more than 100 million won account for 87% of total overseas stocks.
A representative from Mirae Asset Securities said, 'Customers are gradually increasing their investments in overseas stocks as access to investment information using artificial intelligence becomes easier amid the growth of high-potential overseas markets.' They added that 'global assets play an essential role beyond mere investment means, responding to economic changes and protecting assets like insurance, and we will continue to do our best to support customer asset growth and a peaceful retirement.'
