Following broadcaster Lee Ji Hye, photos and videos of ballerina Yoon Hye Jin's daughter have also been used without permission in fake advertisements, raising awareness.
On the 14th, Yoon Hye Jin posted on her personal channel an ad screen using her daughter Ji On and personally urged caution.
The released advertisement included the phrase "Yoon Hye Jin daughter 178cm grew this" along with content prompting a purchase L.I.N.C for a specific product. Recently, as Ji On suddenly seemed to have grown and attracted attention for her tall 178cm height, it appears to have been used as if it were the effect of a particular food or product.
Yoon Hye Jin immediately drew a line saying it was not true. She said, "Yoon Hye Jin's daughter didn't grow from eating this, and when did I stock this from Coupang every day?" expressing incredulity. She worried that it could exploit desperate parents' feelings. Yoon Hye Jin said, "Those who desperately want their children to grow might be deceived," and strongly raised the issue asking, "Isn't this a scam?" repeatedly emphasizing, "There is no secret method. Do not be fooled."
She also claimed that some of the images used in the advertisement appear to have been processed by AI. Yoon Hye Jin said, "The photos were run through AI…" expressing displeasure that her family's images were altered and used commercially without her consent.
Recently, fake advertisement damage involving unauthorized use of celebrities' and their families' photos has been continuing. Previously, broadcaster Lee Ji Hye of the group SHAEP also warned that her face and videos were used without permission in an advertisement she did not shoot. At the time Lee Ji Hye warned, "This is not an ad I shot. Do not ever go into that L.I.N.C link and make a purchase."
Afterward, not only her but also photos of her daughter Tae Ri were used without permission in a beauty brand promotional post. Lee Ji Hye immediately demanded deletion, saying, "You must not use it like this," and mentioned the possibility of legal action. This time, with Yoon Hye Jin's daughter suffering similar damage, attention has again focused on the problem of celebrities' children's photos and videos being used without permission in commercial advertisements.
In particular, when AI editing or actual SNS videos are mixed to make it look like the person personally recommended a product, it can be even more difficult for consumers to distinguish authenticity. Even if a celebrity or family member's face appears, it is necessary to check whether it is an official advertisement from an official account, agency, or brand, and be cautious of purchase links with unclear origins.
Meanwhile, Yoon Hye Jin married actor Eom Tae Woong in 2013 and has a daughter Ji On.
