Actor Lee Da Hae said that even three years into her marriage she still has not farted in front of her husband SE7EN, drawing laughter. She also candidly discussed wanting to remain attractive to each other after pregnancy and honest concerns about how their relationship might change after childbirth.
On the 14th broadcast of tvN STORY Table Tales, Lee Da Hae, who is pregnant with her first child, appeared and revealed the realities of married life with SE7EN.
That day Lee Da Hae said she and SE7EN are not yet comfortable sharing bodily functions. In particular, she revealed an unexpected rule that she does not fart in front of her husband.
That does not mean SE7EN follows the rule perfectly. Lee Da Hae exposed that SE7EN, not realizing she was lying in bed, had been rolling comfortably on the floor and accidentally farted. When Lee Da Hae made a sound, SE7EN was startled and reacted, "Were you there?" The unexpected scene of a husband being caught by his wife caused laughter on set. Lee Da Hae said, "We are a married couple, so it doesn't matter," but she added that she still remains careful. On the other hand, she said she did not lose affection because of SE7EN's fart, and even called it "cute," showing her affection for her husband.
In response, Jang Young-ran, who has childbirth experience, offered a realistic comment. When she said, "Once you have a baby you can't control it," Lee Da Hae immediately worried, "What am I going to do?" and added to the laughter.
But there were reasons beyond simple bodily functions for Lee Da Hae's caution. She had concerns that pregnancy and childbirth could change her relationship with her husband. Lee Da Hae candidly said, "I still want to be a woman, but I have fears," worrying that all attention focusing on the baby might change their relationship as a couple. She also said she clearly feels that the couple's interests have changed recently. Lee Da Hae noted that her phone algorithm is full of baby-related content while SE7EN's interests are still cars and watches, expressing a subtle sense of disappointment.
Fortunately, she said SE7EN has been taking more care of his wife since the pregnancy. Lee Da Hae said that when SE7EN saw the line that appeared on her belly from pregnancy, he gave her a massage for the first time and the next day even bought her boot-style massagers. Hearing this, Jang Young-ran advised that as her body becomes heavier she should not just endure and say she is fine, but actively ask her husband for help. She shared realistic experiences, saying that as childbirth approaches routine movements become difficult, like frequent trips to the bathroom, and there are times when you need to hold your husband's hand to get up.
She also strongly recommended taking a trip together before childbirth. Jang Young-ran joked, "A trip after having a baby is a test of endurance," while emphasizing the importance of a prenatal trip and advising that before parenting begins couples should discuss household and childcare responsibilities in advance.
Lee Da Hae also showed affection for her parents-in-law. She said her father-in-law was so happy about the pregnancy news that he even gave her a bouquet, adding, "My mother-in-law said she had never received one." Watching her father-in-law smiling all day made her feel as if she had been filial just by being pregnant. She also said, "I was fortunate to meet my parents-in-law," and seeing SE7EN raised in a harmonious family increased her trust in her husband. Lee Da Hae said, "I thought I must not lose this family," explaining the background to her conviction that she can spend her life with SE7EN.
Meanwhile, Lee Da Hae and SE7EN married in May 2023 after eight years of public dating. The two are currently awaiting the birth of their first child.<
