The group Cortis added another record.
BigHit Music said on the 14th, "Cortis has repeatedly broken the record for the most No. 1s by a single song among K-pop groups on Spotify Korea's daily chart with the mini album 2 title track "RedRed."
According to BigHit Music, 'RedRed' reclaimed the top spot on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Korea' chart for the Dec. 12 chart. As a result, the song reached the top for the 120th time since it first hit No. 1 on April 27.
With this, Cortis reset the group's record once again. 'RedRed' became the K-pop group song with the most No. 1s when it reached its 70th No. 1 in July. Maintaining steady popularity for more than four months, it has renewed its own most No. 1 record. Since the chart's ranking compilation began in 2021, Cortis is the only group to hold the top spot with a single song for more than four months.
'RedRed' is the title track of Cortis's mini album 2, 'GreenGreen,' released on May 4. The song uses 'green' and 'red' as motifs to express what the group pursues and what it warns against.
With the mini album that includes 'RedRed,' Cortis also set numerous records, including 17 consecutive weeks on the U.S. Billboard 200.
