Singer Baek Z Young and Seo In Young finally ended rumors of a feud that lasted as long as 13 years.
The feud between Baek Z Young and Seo In Young surfaced in 2013. Baek Z Young said on the SBS variety show Kangshimjang, "Actually, I hated everything about Seo In Young," and "Later I had a chance to talk with In Young and realized she wasn't unpleasant. But I didn't want to change the feeling that I had started to dislike her," acknowledging the feud.
The reason Baek Z Young developed a bad impression of Seo In Young was an incident in the waiting room. Baek Z Young recalled, "We were sharing the waiting room with Rin and others, and Seo In Young and two others were close and were talking loudly. Then I said to In Young, 'Hey Seo In Young, this doesn't seem like the time to be talking like this,' which seems to have hurt her."
Baek Z Young said, "At the time In Young responded politely, saying, 'I'm sorry. I'll go out and talk,' and later I heard that In Young went out and cried," and "My throat condition was bad then, so I was under a lot of stress. I was listening with earphones and got angry at the talking and said something, and when I later heard that story I felt so sorry."
Afterward, Baek Z Young met Seo In Young at a party, cleared up the misunderstanding and returned to being close friends. Baek Z Young said, "After that incident I met Seo In Young and she said, 'Please don't hate me. Please like me,' with such frankness. She was truly a pretty person who spoke like that without guile," and "As a senior I was so embarrassed. I told her it wouldn't happen again and we became close."
In response, Seo In Young posted on her social media replying to the account Baek Z Young revealed about the feud. Seo In Young wrote, "Sometimes misunderstandings create better relationships. (Baek Z Young) unni please keep liking me. Hehe"
Later, in March on the YouTube channel Seo In-young's Turning Over a New Leaf, Seo In Young mentioned the feud with Baek Z Young while talking about malicious comments. She said, "I was upset because I thought Baek Z Young didn't like me," and added, "Later we resolved the misunderstanding at an awards ceremony after party."
Also, Baek Z Young mentioned in a YouTube video released on the 12th an anecdote about meeting Seo In Young at the "Freeze Seoul" event the day before filming for YouTube. She said, "We talked a lot about YouTube. Also I said I watch her YouTube a lot."
Baek Z Young especially said, "Yesterday In Young and I were like, 'Why did unni dislike me?' 'Why did I dislike you?' Neither of us can remember. So afterwards we met and it became like, 'In Young~', 'Unni~' and we became even closer."
