"Moo No Plan" denied rumors related to prior restaurant arrangements.
On the 13th, the production team of MBN "Moo No Plan" posted a long statement on its official social media saying, "Recently, through articles and social media, information that differs from the facts has spread regarding this show's restaurant arrangements."
"Moo No Plan" is a food documentary program with the concept of Jun Hyun-moo and GwakTube finding restaurants on site without prior planning or arrangements. However, as the improvised travel fabrication controversy recently erupted on MBC "I Live Alone," the process by which MBN "Moo No Plan" sourced popular restaurants also came under suspicion.
In particular, suspicion grew as eyewitness accounts spread online claiming the "Moo No Plan" filming crew had been filming at a restaurant before it opened for business. In the end, the production team of "Moo No Plan" issued a direct statement saying the eyewitness accounts were not true.
That day the production team said, "Some online comments and unverified eyewitness accounts are cited as evidence that the program arranged restaurants in advance or staged situations in relation to the restaurant filming method of 'Moo No Plan,' but this is not true," and emphasized, "Before filming at a restaurant, the production team does not contact the restaurant or the owner in advance to arrange filming or notify them in advance of the cast's visit."
They added, "This is a production principle that has been consistently observed from the start of the program to the present," and said, "Nevertheless, we regret that some recent reports, without fact-checking through the production team, quote online comments or individuals' speculative claims and express them as if manipulation or staging of the program has been confirmed."
The production team said, "Moo No Plan will continue to produce the program according to the production principles it has observed so far, and when necessary we will actively correct the facts regarding reports that amplify and reproduce unverified content as if it were true."
In response, cast member Jun Hyun-moo also pressed like in approval.
