Hip-hop duo Mighty Mouth surprised fans by revealing part of their new song and raised expectations even higher by performing an impromptu collaboration with Ji Sang-ryeol.
Mighty Mouth (Chuplex, Shorry) appeared on the KBS 2TV Mr. House Husband season 2 broadcast on the 12th and unveiled their new song "Soju Night," set for release on the 16th.
Mighty Mouth, who invited Ji Sang-ryeol to the studio that day, exchanged glances and posed cautiously when asked to play the new song, drawing laughter. Shorry repeatedly urged, "You really have to keep this secret," then carefully played "Soju Night," and when the addictive beat began, the studio atmosphere heated up at once.
Ji Sang-ryeol, who was listening to the music, immediately performed a rap using a Turkish folk song, raising the energy even more. Chuplex and Shorry cheered at Ji Sang-ryeol's unexpected rap, and the three showed fantastic chemistry on the spot.
In particular, Mighty Mouth asked Ji Sang-ryeol to write lyrics himself, but in a later interview he confessed, "It was a song I had even thought of as the title," and "I was thinking I had to get out of there quickly," prompting laughter. The cheerful creative process revealed on the broadcast further increased curiosity about the new song.
Mighty Mouth's professional side also stood out. After carefully reviewing the lyrics Ji Sang-ryeol had prepared, Chuplex evaluated, "Overall it's good. The reason it doesn't stick in the mouth is because there are no rhymes. I liked that his story was contained in the lyrics." He then directly refined the lyrics, showing a serious side to the music work.
When recording began, Chuplex and Shorry gave Ji Sang-ryeol detailed on-the-spot feedback, saying, "It would be better to pay a little more attention to the accents when pronouncing the rhymes."
