Actor Lee Da Hae surprised everyone by revealing the monthly rent for the home where she lives in Shanghai, China.
On the 14th episode of tvN STORY 'Table Tales', Lee Da Hae, who is also active in China, appeared and talked about her life there.
That day Lee Da Hae, who is pregnant, said, "I'm not alone, so maybe the older sisters paid attention. I'm looking forward to it with the baby," expressing anticipation for the food prepared for her.
The conversation naturally turned to Lee Da Hae's activities in China. Lee Da Hae explained that after the drama 'My Girl' was exported to China and became very popular there in 2006, she began activities in China. She said she was later invited by China and appeared in several local dramas. Lee Da Hae, who still spends at least four months a year working in China, said, "I have a company in China and I also have a home there." In particular, interest was drawn to the fact that her home is in Shanghai, a major city known in China for its high housing prices.
When asked about her current living arrangement in Shanghai, Lee Da Hae unexpectedly answered, "I'm renting now." She added, "It's priced at about 5 billion won right now," and said, "I pay about 6 million won in monthly rent," startling the cast. By simple calculation, the annual rent amounts to about 72 million won.
Although the home is expensive, she said she did not spend as much as expected on the interior. Lee Da Hae said she worked with a Chinese furniture company and "did not spend a lot of money." Instead, she put effort into the furniture and layout to be placed in the home. She said she considered furniture that matched the space and even designed some pieces herself to reflect her own taste.
In particular, Lee Da Hae is known to own considerable real estate assets in Korea as well. Together with her husband SE7EN, she owns three buildings in Seoul's Gangnam and Mapo districts, and the asset value of these buildings is reported to total about 32.5 billion won.
