Actor Ahn Eun-jin revealed behind-the-scenes struggles with facial paralysis she experienced while filming the popular drama 'Bad Mother'.
On the afternoon of the 13th, the YouTube channel 'Fairy Jae-hyung' uploaded a video titled 'What did Kang Jun say last week before he left?'
Ahn Eun-jin said of the health deterioration she experienced during filming, "My body got sick in the middle. I caught a cold and developed facial paralysis," eliciting sympathy.
She recalled the moment she noticed the early symptoms, saying, "On the day of filming I was washing my face. I learned, 'If I'm weak, my immunity affects this part of the nervous system,'" and she revealed that while brushing her teeth she experienced an abnormal symptom of water leaking from one side of her mouth. In the embarrassing situation she said, "Huh, why is this happening? Why is water leaking here? So you have to hold this and 'mumble-mumble'," vividly recounting the moment.
She said she went to the hospital right away but received a devastating diagnosis. Ahn Eun-jin said, "I went to the hospital and it was facial paralysis. I thought, 'Ah, rest for a few days and it will get better,' but it wasn't like that — I was depressed then. I was so sad," sharing the emotional pain she felt at the time.
She also candidly described the painful side effects she experienced during treatment. She confessed honestly, "I was depressed, and the steroid side effects meant that even after a walk my face would be puffy, my knees would swell. At that time it was hard to maintain a positive mindset."
