Legendary groups Jewelry and Click-B reunited as full lineups on 'Immortal Songs,' delighting viewers, and the performances themselves delivered deep emotion. Above all, Jewelry member Seo In Young welled up in tears, and Jo Mina displayed fighting spirit even after being taken to the emergency room.
On KBS2's 'Immortal Songs,' stages by diverse artists crossing generations and genres overflowed the Taehwagang River in Ulsan with waves of romance.
On Saturday the 12th, KBS2's 'Immortal Songs' (directed by Park Hyung-geun, Kim Hyeong-seok, Choi Seung-beom; hereafter 'Immortal Songs') episode 773 was presented as part one of the '2026 NEW WAVE Festival in Ulsan.' For the past 15 years, 'Immortal Songs' has held large-scale outdoor specials that go directly to viewers across the country, and the show visited Ulsan that day. Beginning with the '2023 Rock Festival in Ulsan,' followed by the '2024 first-half king of kings special,' the '2025 Rock Festival in Ulsan,' and now the '2026 NEW WAVE Festival in Ulsan,' the program has continued a special relationship for four years.
Part one, held with about 10,000 spectators against the backdrop of the beautiful Ulsan Taehwagang national garden, featured six acts — Lee Seung Gi, Forestella, Lee Chan-won, Dayoung, Click-B, and Jewelry — heating up Ulsan. The first stage opened the festival vigorously with Lee Seung Gi's 'Jilpunggado.' True to his title as king of live performances, Lee Seung Gi filled the stage with his hits such as 'Beside You, I Am' and 'Because You're My Woman.'
The second stage was taken by Dayoung, who has established herself as the next-generation solo queen. Dayoung showcased confident yet sexy charm with her recently released single "FLIRTY," raising the festival's energy with live vocals and performances that filled the stage.
The original pretty-boy band Click-B, returning as a full group after 11 years, took the third stage. Click-B performed long-loved songs such as 'Baekjeonmupa,' 'Forgotten Love' and 'Purple Scent,' drawing cheers from Ulsan fans with unchanged vocal power and preserved visuals despite the long hiatus. Especially moving were the many fans who came to the festival holding the green balloons that symbolized the fandom during Click-B's activities.
When Lee Chan-won, the trot idol and 'a singer born in Ulsan,' took the next stage, the cheers reached a peak. Lee Chan-won captivated citizens with 'Ulsan Arirang,' most fitting for Ulsan, and his hit 'My long journey.' His lively performance united fans of all ages, from young children to the elderly, creating a scene of generational integration that drew attention.
The fifth stage was graced by crossover group Forestella. Forestella reinterpreted famous songs such as 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' 'Piano Man' and 'Despacito' in the group's own style, filling Taehwagang with emotion. In particular, Forestella's fantastic harmony delivered grandeur and emotion like watching several operas, leading Ulsan citizens into a world of wonder.
The sixth segment, fitting the spirit of the '2026 NEW WAVE Festival' that signifies a new wave connecting generations, was filled with special collaboration stages. Seo In Young and Dayoung, who met recently at a Waterbomb event and promised a next meeting, performed together on one stage with 'Cinderella.' Their performance was a hot topic even before the broadcast as a meeting between the 'original Cinderella' and the '2026 Cinderella.' In particular, Dayoung said, "Seo In Young unni was my role model and a star in my childhood," and added meaning by recreating the outfit and high heels Seo In Young wore in the past for the special stage.
The final stage was decorated by Jewelry, the girl group that dominated the early 2000s music scene. Reunited as a full lineup for the first time in 20 years with Park Jeong-ah, Lee Ji-hyun, Seo In Young and Jo Mina, Jewelry showcased the original girl-crush charm with hits that swept the era such as 'One More Time,' 'I Really Like You,' 'Tonight,' and 'Super Star.' Seo In Young looked at the members on stage and told citizens, "Maybe it's menopause, I'm crying again," expressing gratitude. About 10,000 Ulsan citizens responded with clapping to the beat of 'I Really Like You,' including Jewelry's signature ET dance and shake dance, and colorful fireworks erupted throughout Taehwagang, bringing the festival together as one.
Meanwhile, after the 'Immortal Songs' broadcast, various social media responses poured in, saying, "Dayoung's skills are really solid. She practically flew on stage," "The 40-something Click-B singing 'Baekjeonmupa' is so good. The first-generation live performers are insane. The visuals are exactly the same," "Lee Chan-won is indeed the king of live. He is truly a master born in Ulsan," "Lee Seung Gi's voice is refreshing and good," "Forestella's autumn evening 'Bohemian Rhapsody' — this is a real festival. Vocals, harmony, and looks all renewed the legend," "Seo In Young's live was insane. This is what a singer is. Hot girls will conquer the world," "Seeing Jewelry's second album lineup again is so precious. The stage is so rare. Seeing the members happy made me cry. Mega hits + perfect vocals + night view + audience response — a legendary stage," and other reactions.
Seo In Young married in 2023 but divorced after a year, and she is scheduled to marry a businessman six years her senior later this year. Jo Mina revealed on social media right after the 'Immortal Songs' stage, "My father's memorial rite, preparation for Jewelry's stage after 20 years, and consecutive lecture schedules — I worked nonstop for weeks, and my vocal cord nodules and herniated disc worsened. As soon as I finished the schedules, I collapsed and was taken to the emergency room. I had been enduring with willpower, but once everything was safely over and the tension released, my body collapsed," she confessed.
