On Monday the 14th at 10 p.m., Channel A's Detectives' Trade Secrets will air an episode called "Detective 24 Hours" that handles a recent case of a young mother who became a hot topic on social media. The client gave birth alone at age 17 as a third-year high school student 10 years ago, and the child is now a third grader in elementary school. But she says, "Even now, 10 years later, there has been no contact from the child's biological father," and that she is preparing a suit for recognition of paternity and child support against him. The problem is that she has no accurate information about him other than his three-letter name. In the end, the client asked the detective team for help locating the child's biological father.
The two met when the client was a second-year high school student. The client met a man who was an adult at the time through a gaming club and their relationship developed into a romance. But three months into their relationship he enlisted in the military and contact stopped, and the client naturally assumed they had broken up.
Then one night the client suddenly suffered abdominal pain. Thinking it was a stomachache, she spent the night going to the bathroom, but when she returned to the bathroom at dawn in extreme pain, the baby's head was already out. The client gave birth alone in her room and even disinfected a pair of scissors and cut the umbilical cord herself. Even more astonishing was that she did not know she was pregnant until giving birth. The client said, "I had irregular periods, and I had no morning sickness or baby bump, so I had no idea I was pregnant." Upon hearing this, Defconn reacted in disbelief, saying, "Really? That can happen?"
But the baby, born prematurely at seven months, hardly cried and could not properly swallow formula. Overwhelmed by this on her own, the client told her mother about the birth and immediately took the baby to the hospital. On arrival the baby, moved to an incubator, weighed only 1.95kg. The baby showed signs of malnutrition, anemia and dehydration and needed intensive treatment for a month. The reaction from the child's biological father when he heard about the birth was even more shocking. He didn't believe it, saying, "Are you kidding? Is this a joke?" and never once visited the baby in the hospital.
Ultimately, frustrated by the father's evasive attitude, the client and her father went to his house, but an even more outrageous situation unfolded when they faced the father's family.
Yoo In-na could not hide her anger, saying, "What kind of inconsiderate person is that?" People are becoming curious about that day's story and the heartbreaking case surrounding the young mother.
Meanwhile, Detectives' Trade Secrets first aired in January 2024, with Defconn, Yoo In-na and Kim Poong as regular cast members. Each week, stories more astonishing than dramas and movies appear, shocking viewers.<
