Beauty pageant alum and actress Lee Ji-yeon is marrying Yeong-cheol, a contestant of I'm SOLO season 21.
On the 12th, Lee Ji-yeon posted on her social media, "I met a good person and we are starting a new chapter together," along with a photo, announcing the marriage news.
She added, "It would be proper to visit each person and greet them, but I hesitated, worried I might burden anyone, and there are people I couldn't inform in time. If you feel hurt, I hope you will kindly understand."
She continued, "If you contact me comfortably, I will gratefully share the news with a joyful heart. I will cherish and never forget all the congratulatory sentiments and live beautifully," she said, expressing her feelings about the marriage.
Yeong-cheol also posted on his social media, "Marrying a little late in September 2026," directly announcing the news. Along with the announcement, Yeong-cheol revealed several wedding photos taken with Lee Ji-yeon.
In the released photos, Yeong-cheol and Lee Ji-yeon held hands tightly and smiled brightly, showing affection for each other. Lee Ji-yeon, in a pure white dress, displayed a lovely and elegant look, and Yeong-cheol completed a neat appearance in a tuxedo.
Lee Ji-yeon is known to have competed in the international beauty pageant "Miss Globe," and the groom-to-be appeared as Yeong-cheol on the real dating program I'm SOLO season 21, which aired in 2024 on cable channels SBS Plus and ENA.
At the time, Yeong-cheol, a senior manager in the pipe sales team at H Steel, drew attention for experiences such as climbing to the summit of Kilimanjaro and visiting Serengeti National Park. He also attracted interest by revealing a bucket list about dating, marriage and children.
