Actor Han Chae-rin mentioned her future activity plans.
On the 10th afternoon at the OSEN building located in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, MBC Friday-Saturday drama A Bona fide Killer actress Han Chae-rin's post-finale interview was held.
Han Chae-rin played Goo Hae-na, a passionate rookie reporter who is the junior of Nottoday social affairs reporter Kwon Tae-seong (Jung Jun-won). From her fresh appearance to running around crime scenes and growing into a justice-driven reporter, she added vitality to the drama as the early-career worker Goo Hae-na.
That day Han Chae-rin said about the kinds of works she wants to do in the future, I have wanted to try a historical drama since long ago. And because I played a bright character this time and was influenced, I want to play a character whose tension is like I, and I want to do comedy. If someone gives me the chance, I am ready to work hard at anything, and if entrusted with a role I am determined to work hard.
She spoke about her strengths, I was a track athlete so I run well. And I did cheerleading so I am good at flyers. Even now if asked to dance I can perform, she said, adding, I didn't graduate from college but I came from a musical background so I like singing. Singing an OST is on my bucket list.
Asked when she dreamed of becoming an actor, she said, Since I was young I wanted to show my energy somewhere. At talent shows or presentations I always had to be the one at the front with the biggest movements, and I never missed talent shows from elementary school through high school.
Han Chae-rin said she treated the trembling feelings as courage training for her future acting career when participating in talent shows. She said, Now when I fail people do not notice. Since I was young I watched a lot of movies and dramas and always thought I wanted to be on screen. Although I liked singing and dancing I never thought about becoming an idol, but I always had a desire to act.
She continued, Acting is so enjoyable, and honestly I still enjoy it very much. If asked, 'Why do you like acting?' I don't know the reason but I like it so much. It is the most joyful thing in the world and I cannot imagine not doing it. It feels like a process of finding the answer to why acting is good.
Has she ever thought about wanting to work with a particular actor while dreaming of acting since childhood? She said, I definitely want to work with senior Kim Hye-soo. Since my audition days my role model has been senior Kim Hye-soo, and I am grateful to be under the same agency so I consider that an honor. I would be so happy to act with senior Hye-soo. Just working with a great senior would be a learning experience and an honor.
When asked what kind of role she would like to meet, Han Chae-rin said, I would like to be on the same side no matter what. I hope not to meet as an enemy, and whether as my boss or in any other role I would like to be on the same side as senior Hye-soo.
At first impression Han Chae-rin seemed like the pure beauty who could appear in an ion drink commercial, but during the interview her pleasant manner of speaking and witty answers made people laugh several times.
When praised during the interview that she seemed like she would do well on variety shows, Han Chae-rin also showed confidence. Asked if there are variety shows she would like to appear on, she said, I would like to go on relaxed talk shows like You Quiz or Salon Drip, and I would also like to try business shows like Space Rice Cake Shop or Youn's Kitchen. I am confident I would do them briskly and well.
