'Working mom Lee Hyun-yi' model Lee Hyun-yi's husband, Hong Seong-gi, talked about what he experienced while traveling in the United States with his son who finished a three-week CTY camp.
On the 12th, Lee Hyun-yi's YouTube channel released a video titled "an honest review of the Johns Hopkins CTY camp no one told you about (living in a U.S. dormitory for a month)". That day Hong Seong-gi shared a detailed review. First, he left his impression saying, "The only child from Korea was Yun-seo, and if you send a child, they should be in sixth grade."
Yun-seo, who lived in the dormitory for three weeks and spoke with his father twice a day. Hong Seong-gi visited famous western sites with Yun-seo. Lee Hyun-yi, worried and showing how well she knows her son and husband, said, "Yun-seo probably has no thoughts, but Hong Seong-gi must have been on edge because he felt he needed to take care of things, so I wondered if it would be okay." Hong Seong-gi expressed both happiness and anger, saying, "I held back because it might be the last time I could spend time alone with Yun-seo. I held back a lot. He really had no thoughts."
Hong Seong-gi said, "We were on a grand tour and had to drive 1,000 km, but the kid kept collapsing and dozing off. So I put a neck pillow on him and he got angry, saying 'you woke me up.' So I left him in the car and said, 'I came as your guardian,' and walked away, and then he walked. Then the kid followed. The reason was he wanted to go to the bathroom and asked where the bidet tissue was," which made Lee Hyun-yi laugh out loud.
Not only that, when Yun-seo got lazy he skipped meals, but Hong Seong-gi had already found places that sell the seaweed soup and soy-marinated crab Yun-seo wanted to eat, so he appeased his son. Above all, the place was a 40-minute drive away. Worried that his son would get hungry, Hong Seong-gi, while trying to soothe him, said, "In the car he said he was hungry and asked when we'd arrive." Also, because the soy-marinated crab was so expensive, Hong Seong-gi gave his share to his son and bought snacks on the way back while grocery shopping.
Hong Seong-gi asked Yun-seo to choose, but Yun-seo refused, saying he was hungry. However, when they returned to the hotel and Hong Seong-gi unpacked the groceries, Yun-seo said, "Just one bite," and then ate all of Hong Seong-gi's portion. Hong Seong-gi said, "I got angry there. But I filled myself with beer." Hearing about this father and his eldest son, Lee Hyun-yi laughed and said, "A person like this can never beat someone as indifferent as Yun-seo," and "Isn't he like a very picky girlfriend?"
