Peppertones' Lee Jang-won shared an update that he took the stage with member Shin Jae-pyeong about ten days after announcing his grandfather's death.
On the 13th, Peppertones' official SNS posted, "'2026 Dongbu Warehouse Festa [warehouse of dreams]' with Peppertones. We were happy to make dreams, fill dreams and share dreams on a cool Sunday evening!" along with photos.
The photos showed Shin Jae-pyeong and Lee Jang-won standing side by side looking at the camera after the performance. Shin Jae-pyeong stood with his guitar slung over his shoulder, and Lee Jang-won, also looking relaxed, stayed by his bandmate's side and shared news of Peppertones' activities.
This update drew attention especially because it came after Lee Jang-won recently announced his grandfather's death himself. On the 2nd, Lee Jang-won wrote on his SNS, "The grandfather I lived with passed away recently, and we quietly held a family funeral," announcing his farewell to his grandfather.
He said that he lived with his grandfather for several years even at the beginning of his debut, "He prepared breakfast every morning. I moved in out of a desire to repay him, but it was much shorter than I expected, so I feel regret," expressing his deep feelings. He also expressed gratitude for being able to leave good memories with his grandfather through SBS' 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny.'
Earlier, Lee Jang-won and his wife Bae Da-hae had revealed the story of why they moved in together: to care for the grandfather who had lived alone for a long time after his mother-in-law passed away. 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' also showed the daily life of the three living in one house, but at the end of the program the producers reported that Lee Jang-won's grandfather had passed away, prompting sadness.
After quietly holding the funeral with his family, Lee Jang-won returned to the stage as a member of Peppertones. After the performance that day, Peppertones said, "We were happy to share dreams," expressing their gratitude to the audience.
