Solo artist Evan (EVAN) accelerated his global activities by proving his unparalleled live vocal ability through a leading U.S. digital music platform.
Evan appeared on the flagship program Open Mic of the U.S. music-focused digital platform Genius on the 12th (Korean time) and revealed a live performance of the title track of his recently released mini album, "Death of Me." The video quickly spread through Genius' official YouTube channel, drawing explosive reactions from music fans around the world.
In the released video, Evan proved his strong will for musical challenge through his singing alone. Standing before a microphone, he delivered the pouring chorus with his characteristic sophisticated and tasteful vocals without faltering, radiating explosive energy. Especially in the intense lyrical sections—"I'm ready for any ending," "push me beyond the limits," "even if I stop this ain't the death of me"—he conveyed a strong conviction that nothing can break him through his expressions and solid tone, maximizing immersion.
The new record, which Evan personally participated in producing, is sweeping domestic and international charts without hesitation. In just three days after the album's release, it recorded sales of more than 500,000 copies, achieving the feat of becoming a half-million seller. In addition, it proved overwhelming album power by ranking on the iTunes "Top Albums" chart in 34 countries/regions worldwide and reaching No. 1 in 11 countries/regions.
The title track "Death of Me" also topped the iTunes "Top Songs" chart in nine countries/regions, and the music video has been a hot topic, jumping straight to No. 4 on YouTube's "Global daily popular music videos."
Having conquered global charts, Evan continues his heated comeback stages today (the 12th) on MBC's Show! Music Core and on the 13th on SBS' Inkigayo. He will then perform at a series of award shows and major domestic and overseas festivals, starting with the 2026 The Fact Co. Music Awards on the 19th, followed by Macau's NBA Fan Day on the 10th of next month, Bangkok's K-LIVE FESTIVAL BAND : AGE on the 17th, and Korea's NOL FESTIVAL on the 18th.
