Authentic's rookie girl band AIWEO (A I W E O) pre-released the music video for the track "Shoe Lace" from their first EP "BE MY HUG," delivering a weighty and tender consolation to young people.
AIWEO surprised fans by unveiling the music video for the track "Shoe Lace" on their official channel on the 11th. While the previously released "AIWEO" MV showcased their distinctive free-spirited and effervescent energy, in this "Shoe Lace" they captured the four members' warm daily lives with an analog sensibility, offering a 180-degree contrasting charm.
In the released video, the members record pure moments such as filming each other and dancing together. The faded colors and vintage camcorder frames blend to evoke the feeling of watching an old youth film, amplifying the song's fresh and comforting mood.
Notably, the song's completion and emotional line were maximized with lyrical support from senior labelmate singer-songwriter HANRORO. Gentle lyrics that soothe weary hearts stand out, such as "You are crying anxiously wearing shoes that don't fit" and "It's just that you loosened up for a moment to enjoy the breeze." With the message that it's okay to slow your pace for a while, the line "what's all past may be special" leaves an impact on wandering youth.
With this, AIWEO followed the vibrant, rule-breaking "AIWEO" with the breath-catching, comma-like "Shoe Lace," consecutively showing a wide musical spectrum.
Before debut, AIWEO revealed the team's formation process and their identity of "a resonance bigger than a single voice" through six pre-debut documentary episodes, and upon their official debut they confirmed their appearance at the country's largest J-pop festival "Wonderlivet 2026 (WONDERLIVET 2026)."
