Group Shinhwa member Junjin's wife and former flight attendant turned influencer Ryu I-seo candidly revealed flight attendants' income.
On the 10th, a video titled "Morning calls are a must, former flight attendant Ryu I-seo and Seong Hae-eun reveal unprecedented strictness stories for the first time" was posted on the YouTube channel "My Love Ryu I-seo."
In the video, Seong Hae-eun, a former Korean Air Lines flight attendant who gained attention through TVING "EXchange / Transit Love 2" and later became an influencer, appeared as a guest.
When asked about the "criteria for salary increases," Seong Hae-eun answered, "It depends on flight allowances. If you fly less, you get less; if you fly a lot and have many long-haul flights, you get more." Ryu I-seo said, "This can't be measured precisely because it varies slightly depending on position and years of service, individual flight hours differ greatly, and depending on where you stay, places with high exchange rates yield different accommodation expenses at the destination."
She added, "There was a one-year intern period. The bonus was not received, so it was small. In 2004 it was about 2,000,000 won, I think," recalling the time.
She also said, "Eighty percent of the monthly pay is bonuses. There are only three months without bonuses. You get them every other month, and if Chuseok is that month you get it, if Seollal is you get it. The months you don't get them are March, May and July."
When Junjin said, "March, May and July would feel unpleasant," Ryu I-seo joked, "Boyfriends should be careful."
