Chef and YouTuber Gukga-bi returned after about a three-month hiatus. After confessing that personal matters overlapped and she needed a break, she announced her full return to content by releasing her daughter Julie's first-ever visit to Korea.
On the 10th, Gukga-bi released a video titled 'British-born Julie, the day she goes to Korea for the first time!! Come on in! It's your first time in Korea??' on her YouTube channel.
This video captured the process of Julie, born and raised in the U.K. in 2024, visiting Korea for the first time in her life. Gukga-bi expressed her excitement, saying, "We're going to Korea to see grandma and grandpa."
However, this trip to Korea did not take place recently. Gukga-bi explained, "We first went to Korea with our Julie around the end of May. I planned to upload it in July, but it was really delayed," indicating that the video was released long after the trip.
For Julie, who was heading to Korea for the first time since birth, the long 13-hour flight itself was a major challenge. Gukga-bi and Josh took a long-haul flight in business class with their daughter.
The realities of parenting were the same. The couple struggled for about three hours on the plane to get Julie to sleep, and they finally succeeded in putting her to sleep. Later, Julie woke up again and had a difficult time, but the family arrived in Korea safely.
After arriving in Korea, they immediately looked for a kids' cafe for the child. Then scenes of spending time with family, including grandma and grandpa, were shown, marking the start of Julie's special first visit to Korea. Gukga-bi also previewed, "See you next week," raising expectations for additional content releases.
In particular, this video drew more attention because it was released right after Gukga-bi directly revealed the reason for her long SNS absence. Earlier, on the 9th, Gukga-bi explained on her social media why she had not shared much since June. She said that her social media activity had gradually decreased since last year and noted, "Various personal matters overlapped, and I desperately needed a temporary pause."
