KickFlip is set to release its fifth mini album KICK OFF THE WALL Pt. 1 on Oct. 6 and opened an emotional concept film for the double title track "Puzzle Piece".
Three videos unveiled at 12 a.m. on the 11th through the official SNS channels delicately captured the members' colorful moments of youth. Over images of Gyehun and Donghyun lost in thought, the phrases "Why don't we blur the lines?", "How beautiful we are", "Don't know where I'm goin'", "This is you and I", "Why don't we lose our way?" sweep by. Donghwa and Kyuju then handle a camera and a game controller, creating a quiet, analog mood, while Juwang and Minje, with teary eyes, show serious expressions as they piece together a puzzle, intriguing viewers about the message of "Puzzle Piece" in the new song.
Phrases that have been steadily exposed in pre-teasing content, such as "미완성이 내겐 미의 완성", "서투른 선들을 이어 그려지는 Masterpiece", and "잘 봐, 뭘 해도 우린 아름다울 거니까", have also heightened fans' expectations. From their debut, KickFlip has consistently showcased musical abilities and directly participated in all eight tracks of this release, increasing the album's authenticity. In particular, through "Puzzle Piece", written and composed by member Gyehun, he poses questions to himself, and through another title track, "Kick Off The Wall (Feat. iann dior)", with lyrics by Gyehun and Donghwa and featuring U.S. artist iann dior, they complete an organic narrative of finding the answer.
KickFlip's mini album 5, KICK OFF THE WALL Pt. 1, which will beautifully tell the story of imperfect youth, will be officially released at 6 p.m. on Oct. 6 on various music sites. Later that same day at 7 p.m., they will present a new stage to global fans for the first time through the Mnet M2 comeback stage.
