"Divorce Reflection Camp" and other appearances made lawyer Park Min-cheol familiar, and he left KIM&CHANG to open a private law firm.
On the 10th, the YouTube channel Gym Jong Kook uploaded a video titled "Lawyer Park Min-cheol's office soft open, invited Gym Jong Kook."
A signboard that stylized Park Min-cheol's hair styling was impressive, and the interior's clean white-tone design stood out. As soon as they entered, a table worth 4 million won to 5 million won surprised Gym Jong Kook, and Park Min-cheol explained, "We went real, not imitation. And it's in the 5 million won range, but since it's the first face you see when you come in, we did it that way."
Gym Jong Kook guessed the office sofa would be in the 20 million won range and said, "Now I can tell the going rate for furniture at a glance." Seeing floral wreaths sent by Song Seungheon, Yu Jae-seok, Kim Jong Kook, and Seo Jang-hoon, he checked whether Park Min-cheol had received the wreaths after contacting them, saying, "They are people I don't know at all, but sometimes my wreath shows up when a gym opens."
Park Min-cheol said, "There is a reason I opened here. Because there are courts in the Gyodae and Seocho areas, law offices and law firms are almost clustered there. Yangjae-dong has family court and administrative court, and (our office side) has the family court. The reorganization court is coming this way. Seocho and Gyodae are too busy, but our side is set a bit inward, so there aren't many people. So the rent is cheap."
Gym Jong Kook scoffed at the expensive table and sofa prices, calling them "showiness." He even pointed out that the air conditioner was left on despite no one being there, showing his "stingy Jong Kook" side. Eventually Gym Jong Kook lowered and turned off the air conditioner, and Park Min-cheol said, "(We should) run it a bit," but he could not exert force, which drew laughter.
Still, Gym Jong Kook encouraged him, saying, "We met in a small boxing gym and now you became the representative lawyer of a building nearby. You succeeded." After joking, "Should I cry once?", Park Min-cheol revealed the plaques of appreciation he received when he left KIM&CHANG.
Park Min-cheol became known through appearances on "Divorce Reflection Camp" and "You Quiz on the Block." Recently on his YouTube channel he said, "I am leaving KIM&CHANG. It's been 22 years since I commuted to Gwanghwamun every morning and 18 years since I started going to KIM&CHANG, and in the year I would no longer be coming here in the morning."
Regarding his reason for leaving, he said, "I no longer want to listen to others, and it became a timing when it is difficult for me to accept doing things according to others' orders and guidelines." Announcing the opening of his private law firm, Park Min-cheol said, "There are inevitably areas where outcomes are not in my control; no matter how hard I try, results do not necessarily follow. I think what's important is how to make clients understand things that cannot be guaranteed in our relationship."
