Film director Jang Hang-jun said he had pledged to donate his organs in the past.
On the 11th episode of KBS 2TV's Happy Together — glad not to be alone (hereinafter "Happy Together"), Yu Jae-seok, Jang Hang-jun, Yoon Jongshin and special MC Ahn Eun-jin of preliminary group E appeared.
That day, the panelists were moved by the appearance of a choir composed of the world's only organ donors' families, recipients and pledgers. Ahn Eun-jin said, "I once happened to see my father's wallet and looked at his resident registration card."
He said, "I once found out that someone had pledged organ donation without the family's knowledge. At the time I felt a little hurt, but it seems like a very wonderful thing."
Later Jang Hang-jun confessed, "About 20 years ago my wife, writer Kim Eun-hee, and I completed our organ donation pledges," drawing attention. He added, "I have also told all my family."
He added, "I heard that if the bereaved family opposes, there are cases where donation cannot proceed regardless of the deceased's wishes. So I told them to donate if such a situation arises," which surprised listeners.
