Actor Byun Yo-Han revealed the casting backstory of Swings and said it felt like fate.
On the 11th, the YouTube channel 'DinDin is DinDin' uploaded a video titled 'Tungtungi Swings returns as an actor (ft. Byun Yo-Han, special praise from actor Roh Jae Won)'.
That day DinDin was curious about Swings's film casting backstory. Byun Yo-Han opened by saying, "The production team spent a lot of time looking for that role."
He explained, "But Swings showed up in the algorithm. Because the week before I had watched a video Swings had posted on his channel of him acting."
At DinDin's joking, "It wouldn't have been easy to contact him after seeing that," Byun Yo-Han said, "But a week earlier it was just 'oh, Swings is acting,' something like that. Then the image lingered for a week," which drew surprise.
He continued, "I thought, 'Why is this person acting? Why did he post this video? This is really brave.' Then I learned that the role wasn't cast and thought, 'Oh, really?' and turned on my phone, and Swings appeared. I thought it was fate," he recalled.
Byun Yo-Han suggested trying Swings. Byun Yo-Han guessed, "Swings posted a self-promotion video announcing he had started acting for the first time, but the directors seemed to want to see how far he would go now that he had started."
He added, "I said, 'I want to see Swings. Do you happen to have his number?' So I only tried to get his number, and Swings came to that place. He was extremely polite," he said.
Meanwhile, rapper Swings will make his acting debut in the new Tazza series, Tazza: The Song of Beelzebub, which opens on Sept. 23. He takes on the role of Abraham, a ruthless outlaw who is fearless, marking his first acting challenge. <
