Comedian Cho Hye-lyeon advised honorary Briton Baek Jin-kyung on parenting.
On the 9th, a video titled "A live eating tour with an honorary Briton who has exactly 90 days left until childbirth" was posted on the YouTube channel Chohoe-lyeon: Cho Hye-lyeon.
That day, Baek Jin-kyung, who is expecting a daughter, asked Cho Hye-lyeon, "As a senior mother, do you have any advice like "it's good to raise a daughter this way" for me?" Cho Hye-lyeon opened up saying, "When my daughter was young I was too busy."
When my child kept saying to me every day, 'Mom, open your eyes,' 'Read me a storybook,' I pretended to read the storybook while I slept. She was very hurt by that. If I could go back, I would be more of a friend to her, she regretted.
She emphasized, "Children know whether you are genuinely playing with them or just pretending with your eyes closed." Hearing this, Baek Jin-kyung asked, "When a daughter grows up, does she ever say, 'Mom, you did that to me' (have you ever been angry)?"
Cho Hye-lyeon said, "She said she was very hurt because of her mother. She wished her mother had been by her side, but she was too busy and the mother's absence was large," which drew regret.
Meanwhile, Cho Hye-lyeon married in 1998 and had a daughter and a son but divorced in 2012. She remarried her current husband in 2014 and now lives with him. She earlier revealed on a broadcast that her daughter attended a prestigious Korean high school before dropping out.
