Broadcaster Hong Jin Kyung's detailed brain examination in the United States detected abnormal signals in circuits related to depression and memory.
On the afternoon of the 10th, a video titled Study King Jin Genius Hong Jin Kyung: Is Hong Jin Kyung's memory okay like this? What are the test results with medical staff from prestigious U.S. universities all mobilized? (the first Korean woman tenured professor at Stanford) was posted on the YouTube channel Study King Jin Genius Hong Jin Kyung.
Hong Jin Kyung sought out Professor Lee Jin-hyung, who won the Edison Award that Steve Jobs received, as she helps patients with a new brain examination technology that uses AI. Hong Jin Kyung said, "I should get a full brain examination and, if there are any problems, receive treatment before I go," and then underwent a detailed brain examination for about 40 minutes.
In the subsequently released test results, the neurologist said, "There were abnormalities in some areas, and issues like depression were found," and explained, "Depression can also affect memory, and if it worsens, it could lead to more problems," creating tension.
Professor Lee Jin-hyung also added that although it is not severe, some values are outside the normal range, and reported the diagnostic result, "There are some abnormal signals in the circuits related to memory."
