Actress Ji So-yeon spoke about the background to her giving her husband Song Jae-hee a sports car worth hundreds of millions of won.

On that day, Ji So-yeon appeared as a guest on Wonderful Women and talked. When asked what led her to establish an advertising agency with annual sales of 1 billion won, she said, "I think that's the kind of tendency my personality has. I help people and say, 'This would suit them really well, right?' I have even matched some couples for marriage that way. I was active in Hong Kong, and while doing modeling at that time I went to something like a shop. Usually you just finish a shoot and leave. That shop shoot wasn't for the shop. It was just a location for a pictorial, but I said to the shop owner, 'There is this sunglasses brand in Korea that is so pretty. Want to try buying it?' and I made introductions that helped them to go global," she revealed.
She said, "I used to do those things habitually and a lot, and a church older brother said, 'Our company has a project, want to try it?' so I said, 'I'll go with her,' and he said, 'Stop making others' lives better for nothing. This is called an advertising agency. Our company has a budget, so try it with this,' and that became an advertising agency."
In particular, Ji So-yeon drew attention when she gifted her husband Song Jae-hee a sports car worth hundreds of millions of won in 2023. When asked, "I heard Mr. Song Jae-hee received a generous gift. Please boast a little about what kind of gift it was," she said, "It was a 911 sports car. It was my husband's dream car. It wasn't my style. My father was a soldier so I like big jeeps, but my husband likes things that are handsome like that. He likes ones with the lid that opens and such. He likes cars so much that when we pass by together he asks what that is, when it came out, and what its history is. When we were newlyweds our dates were at motorcycle shops. 'A new one came out, isn't it so cool? Try it once,' he would do it alone even without riding it," she said, conveying Song Jae-hee's unusual love of cars.
She recalled, "To the extent that on his birthday my husband lived wearing a helmet every day saying he wanted a motorcycle. Seeing him already so happy as if he had received it made me want to see his happy face, so at first I gifted him a motorcycle and then I gifted the 911. I didn't do it because I had a lot of money. I saw my husband on YouTube saying on a car YouTube channel, 'My dream is to drive recklessly. A man who drives a 911 at 40,' and the pastor's wife's phone rang saying, 'A deacon at our church is a dealer for that car.' We went just to look, and while talking there they were asking, 'How much is the price?' and saying, 'It's really (hard to buy),'" she recalled the situation.
She added, "It turned out that the person who would lead the deal had given up, and there was a black 911 with red seats and a lid that opens. It was the same car we had seen yesterday. This was a sign from God. Even though we didn't have money, the message was to go for it with faith. My husband was wide-eyed and said, 'How do you plan to afford this without a plan?' Even if you decide, installments don't just come out. You need credit ratings and such, but strangely everything fell into place. I had no debts. So the car came out the next week. Normally you wait two years. I thought this was truly God's will, so we signed the contract on the spot and received the car the next week," she said, drawing admiration.
She said with a laugh, "Then my task was to live harder every day to repay that money. As the agency developed and broadened, I worked harder and even recently I have been diligently repaying (the money)."
Meanwhile, Ji So-yeon and Song Jae-hee married in 2017 and have a daughter and fraternal twin siblings.
