Broadcaster Kim Seong-gyeong's YouTube drew attention when the brother-in-law, actor Kim Seong-gyeong's husband, made a surprise appearance on the channel.
The YouTube channel "Jeore gan Seong-gyeong" recently uploaded a video titled 'Kim Sung-ryoung's husband makes a surprise appearance! The story that had everyone in stitches over the blunt roast he threw at his sister-in-law Kim Seong-gyeong (feat. Haedong Yonggungsa, Busan).'
In this video, Kim Seong-gyeong visited Haedong Yonggungsa and Baekryeonsa in Busan, and her brother-in-law Lee Gi-su appeared to meet his sister-in-law.
Kim Seong-gyeong greeted him warmly with "Hyungbu~," showing familiarity. Kim Seong-gyeong said, "(I don't) meet (my brother-in-law) often, but we communicate well," and Lee Gi-su said, "Still, when I go to Seoul I see her, and when I come to Busan I see her." When asked by the producer if he sees her more often than his wife, he answered, "It seems similar," prompting laughter. Kim Sung-ryoung is known to live in Seoul, and Lee Gi-su is known to run a business in the Busan area.
When the producer mentioned, "You said your sister dislikes the two of you," Lee Gi-su humorously replied, "She hates you (Kim Seong-gyeong) the most and hates me second."
Lee Gi-su showed a warm and comforting charm, saying he has also attended temples deeply and now attends church diligently. He said of the two religions, "They both teach having a good heart and living rightly, so they're the same. Faith is all good, wherever you go."
When Kim Seong-gyeong said, "It's nice to see you attending church diligently," Lee Gi-su replied, "My wife is Seong-ryoung; if she didn't go, would that be okay? My sister-in-law is Seong-gyeong too," which drew laughter. To a producer's suggestion to invest production funds in this channel, he responded vaguelly, "When I'm flush with cash," which caused more laughter.
Kim Sung-ryoung married Lee Gi-su in 1996 and has two sons.
In the 2016 tvN program 'List reveal 2016,' they reviewed female stars who married wealthy businessmen, and the top spot went to actress Kim Sung-ryoung. Her husband, Lee Gi-su, is a well-known wealthy figure in Busan. She said, "Even when the kids' father comes up to Seoul, the kids don't hang out with him, so he doesn't feel like coming. I should have had a daughter. These days I feel sorry. I couldn't take good care of him. When I call he always talks as if he's dying, on purpose sighing. When I ask, 'What's wrong?' he says, 'I'm not well.' I feel a little sorry, thinking maybe he lives that way because he met me."
In response, Jang Young-ran said, "When you go down, rest in Busan while you fix things," but Kim Sung-ryoung replied firmly, "What would I do there? I'm too bored. In my newlywed years I lived with my mother-in-law for three years. So I've lived enough in Busan," which added to the laughter.
