Today (10) at 8:40 p.m. on tvN 'Fresh off the Sea3' (directed by Kim Sehee) episode 7 unveils the new mountain-and-river life of the four siblings Yum Jung-ah, Kim Sunyoung, Kang Youseok and Roh Yoon-seo as they head to Hadong, Gyeongsangnam-do, known as the "Alps of Korea." From the siblings' special fishing operations along the Seomjin River that runs through Jeolla and Gyeongsang provinces to the opening of "Sister's seafood restaurant," a rich journey is portrayed.
At the scene released ahead of the broadcast, an unimaginable lunch enjoyed in the middle of the Seomjin River was teased, arousing curiosity. The four siblings, told they must wade into the water to reach the restaurant, could not stop doubting, saying "Are they really giving us a meal?", yet they changed into a special dress code and boarded the boat. The boat then stops in the middle of the Seomjin River, and an unusual seasonal spread that could rival Bali's floating breakfasts is set, drawing attention.
Next, full-scale fishing to dig up the Seomjin River's treasure, jaecheop, also begins. What the four siblings faced as they attempted their first river fishing was a traditional fishing method registered as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage. A high-difficulty task unfolds where they must carry a "georaengi" weighing about 15kg and move upstream against the current while scraping sand, promising what veterans call "almost a level of ordeal," signaling record-breaking labor.
The groans are no joke either. Members begin kneeling one by one, saying "I think I'll be sore tomorrow," and they hit the limits of their stamina, but they show stubborn grit, saying "not even a grain should be wasted." In particular, youngest Roh Yoon-seo displays an exceptional knack for the work and is said to be reborn as a "fishing prodigy." With a fishing fee of 10,000 won per kilogram at stake, attention focuses on how many jaecheop the four siblings will actually haul up.
The "Sister's seafood restaurant" that opens with full-scale dinner preparations is also an unmissable viewing point. The day's menu includes pork cutlets made from Jirisan black pork and a jaecheop clam chowder packed with Seomjin River jaecheop. Kang Youseok challenges the pork cutlet dish as the main chef, and big spender Yum Jung-ah attempts to make the show's first large 40-serving batch of kkakdugi.
