Japanese top model Yano Shiho showed an extraordinary 'act of filial devotion' for her mother and, completely captivated by the charm of hanbok, said "I want to get married once more," drawing laughter.
On the 10th episode of KBS2 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant', Yano Shiho appeared with her mother and enjoyed a special trip to Korea.
That day Yano Shiho set out to make sundubu-jjigae herself for her mother, who had never tried Korean stew. She introduced herself as "the nation's foreign daughter-in-law" and showcased Korean cooking skills that even won over her husband Choo Sung Hoon's taste.
Yano Shiho, who said it was the first time she had cooked Korean food in front of her mother, joked that "it's a rare dish" while taking credit, and her mother replied, "I'm grateful." After tasting the completed sundubu-jjigae, her mother was initially surprised by the spiciness but said she was satisfied, noting, "The spiciness comes up after eating it, but it's delicious." She especially praised her daughter, saying, "Shiho has become like a Korean daughter-in-law," making Yano Shiho proud.
Yano Shiho's generous filial devotion did not end there. Wanting to give her mother, who had worked hard caring for her grandmother, a special memory, she even prepared a hanbok experience. It was not an ordinary hanbok experience. The hanboks Yano Shiho prepared for her mother were pieces that had been on fashion collection runways, and their glamorous yet luxurious appearance drew admiration from the cast.
Yano Shiho also appeared in a pure white hanbok, evoking the atmosphere of a new bride. She loved the hanbok so much that she said, "I wish I had had my wedding wearing a hanbok," and even said, "I want to get married once more," stirring the set. When a cast member said, "If Choo Sung Hoon sees this, he'll probably say let's have a reminder wedding right away," Yano Shiho enthusiastically responded, "My husband has to see it," adding to the laughter.
Earlier, Yano Shiho's roughly 5 billion won-class home in Tokyo was revealed on a previous broadcast and became a topic of conversation. This time, rather than spending on herself, she gave her mother, who had cared for the family for a long time, a special day and showed an exceptional level of filial devotion.
Meanwhile, Yano Shiho married Choo Sung Hoon in 2009, and in 2011 she welcomed her daughter Choo Sa-rang.
