The 359th episode of tvN's You Quiz on the Block, which aired at 8:45 p.m. on the 9th (directed by Kim Ji-young and Heo Kang-seok, writer Lee Un-ju), recorded a peak household rating of 7.1% (average 4.3%) in the Seoul metropolitan area and a peak of 6.1% (average 4.1%) nationwide, claiming the top spot in its time slot across cable and general programming. In tvN's target demographic of men and women 20-49, it swept first place across all channels in the same time slot, including terrestrial broadcasters, showcasing its unchanging solo dominance. The episode, themed "thought it was over," featured a diverse range of life stories: Im Jong-soon, who transformed from a presidential bodyguard into a wingshooter and became the world's oldest Guinness challenger; Lee June-seo, a hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeon who overcame nine years of alcohol addiction; and 85-year-old first-generation romantic comic artist Min Aeni, who draws K-pop stars from BTS to RESCENE.
Notably, 36-year veteran actress Lee Jung-eun appeared and candidly reflected on her acting life leading up to her blooming in her 50s. After parting with a companion dog of 19 years, Lee Jung-eun openly discussed her deepened thoughts about death and the process of overcoming a slump, eliciting strong empathy from viewers.
At the end of the broadcast, a memorial video honoring late writer Jeon Gyeong-chul, who died on the 5th and was known as the "Peter Pan dad," was shown, leaving viewers feeling heavy-hearted.
