'Reawaken man' creates anticipation even before release as a production that stimulates the five senses.
The film "Reawaken man," directed by Baek, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by Yong Film, and co-produced by Superfiction·YLAB·Studio Nungil, which opens on the 30th, tells the story of job seeker Seok-hwan (Koo Kyo-hwan), whose only qualification is groundless confidence, who learns that he has the ability to resurrect 72 hours after death and then becomes the target of a mysterious chase.
Koo Kyo-hwan performed wire work and action to portray Seok-hwan's ability, which increases his physical abilities each time he resurrects every 72 hours. He personally executed the scenes to express unrealistic situations, such as sending an opponent flying with a slight punch and lightly leaping from a high place.
In particular, for action that is difficult to realize with live-action shooting, the production used digital characters created by 3D scanning the actors to complete entertaining action. To minimize incongruity, VFX work was applied in detail to present audiences with thrilling action excitement.
The film's music director is Primary. Primary, as music director, used EDM sounds in "Reawaken man" to raise the speed of action and the tempo of scenes, boasting an original sound with strong beats and electronic tones that amplify the visual pleasure.
In addition, while realizing characters in a realistic way, the styling reflects each character's traits to enhance the viewing experience. Seok-hwan's hair, which reddens more with each resurrection, intuitively expresses his transformation from an ordinary job seeker to reawakened man, adding freshness for the audience.
In the case of Black (Shin Seungho), the long hairstyle covering one eye emphasized a chilling image that makes his identity hard to gauge, and the changes in his face and pupils that appear the moment he uses his ability to control others further stamped a powerful presence.
Meanwhile, office worker Young-ha (Kang Ki-young), who is far from having abilities, and high school student Ye-rin (Kim Sia) maintain audience sympathy by maximizing realism with styling that emphasizes a sense of everyday life.
