The group 82MAJOR achieved their first music show win three years after debut.
On the 9th, airing on MBC M and MBC every1's Show Champion, 82MAJOR (Nam Seong-mo·Park Seok-jun·Yoon Ye-chan·Jo Seong-il·Hwang Seong-bin·Kim Do-gyun) took home the No. 1 trophy with the title track "Like Fire" from their second single HEAT.
82MAJOR released their second single HEAT on the 1st and achieved career highs in both album sales and digital charts. Following a No. 1 on Hanteo Chart's daily chart on the first day of release, first-week sales exceeded 150,000 copies.
The digital track also set a personal best by reaching No. 64 on Melon Hot 100. On the 4th, Bugs recorded their first real-time chart No. 1 since debut, showing a steep rise.
Having achieved their first music show No. 1, 82MAJOR shared their thoughts through their agency. First, Nam Seong-mo said, "I said during my last broadcast as an 'Show Champion' MC that I would come to get the trophy, and it's meaningful to be able to keep that promise," adding, "Attitude (the fandom name) made this dreamlike thing happen for us," expressing his deep feelings.
Park Seok-jun said, "I thought of all the time from our debut to now. I'm truly grateful to the fans who supported us," and Yoon Ye-chan said, "I thought we were still far from this, but it happened sooner than I expected and it really feels like a dream. We will work harder and become an even cooler 82MAJOR," he said.
Jo Seong-il said, "My whole body trembled when we got first place. I sincerely thank all the staff who have worked hard for us and Attitude for giving us the gift of first place."
Hwang Seong-bin said, "Since our debut I only watched seniors receive trophies, so actually receiving an award and performing an encore stage felt like a dream," and Kim Do-gyun added, "With the love of Attitude, who are everything and all to me, we achieved our first music show No. 1. I'm so happy my hands are still shaking, and we will show only cooler and better sides from now on."
