Singer Hong Seo-beom will continue scheduled performances amid continuing family controversy surrounding his son.
Comedian Kim Young-min recently announced Hong Seo-beom's upcoming performance on a post on his YouTube channel.
Kim Young-min said, "I am truly honored to host the original all-around entertainer Hong Seo-beom senior," and "Personally, I learned more from him as a composer than as an entertainer," he said. He added, "Please look after the Park Chung-hee memorial concert on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.," and released Hong Seo-beom's profile photo.
According to Kim Young-min, the performance will feature not only Hong Seo-beom but also Kwon In-ha, Poppin Hyun-joon and Kang Won-rae.
What draws attention to Hong Seo-beom's performance news is that recent controversy surrounding his family has continued.Previously, A, the former daughter-in-law of the Hong Seo-beom and Jo Gap-gyeong couple, filed a lawsuit against son B seeking damages for the breakdown of a de facto marital relationship.A claimed the relationship broke down due to B's infidelity.
The first trial court judged that B was responsible for the breakdown of the marriage and reportedly ordered him to pay 30 million won in consolation money and 800,000 won per month in child support. As the lawsuit proceeded to a higher court, exchanges between both sides continued.
