'You Quiz on the Block' Yu Jae-seok talked about addiction with hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeon Lee June-seo, who broke free from alcoholic behavior.
On the 9th, the tvN 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereafter 'You Quiz') featured hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeon Lee June-seo. Dr. Lee June-seo gradually increased his alcohol tolerance by drinking since college and experienced problems in social life due to high-functioning alcohol dependence. Especially after making mistakes with his children, he resolved to stop drinking.
However, stopping drinking was not easy. Dr. Lee June-seo said, "I saw 'Alcoholics Anonymous' on a U.S. drama. Abstinence and moderation are lonely battles. When doing it alone didn't work, I searched online. There was a meeting happening at that time. There were people who had the same experience as me," saying he stopped drinking by sharing with others. He said he gained peace of mind after quitting drinking.
Yu Jae-seok, saying he has been smoke-free for 20 years, empathized with Dr. Lee June-seo, saying, "When I think about quitting smoking, shortly after I quit I used to see people smoking and think 'those were the good times,' but after five, 10 years passed I don't feel anything and I even hate the smell."
