Solo artist EVAN is proving his presence as a "surefire all-rounder" by continuing an unstoppable rise on global charts on the second day after his new release.
EVAN's mini album 1, DEATH OF ME, released on Sept. 7, swept No. 1 on the iTunes "Top Albums" chart in 11 countries/regions worldwide and settled in the top ranks of charts in a total of 32 countries/regions. The album's title track, "Death of Me," also reached No. 1 on the iTunes "Top Songs" chart in nine countries/regions, ranked No. 3 on Tencent Music's Korea chart in China, and after reaching No. 1 on South Korea's Bugs real-time chart, entered the daily chart (Sept. 7) at No. 3, demonstrating powerful streaming strength.
This new release is an album that allows listeners to see the true colors of the "self-producing artist" EVAN at a glance. EVAN conveyed his honest inner self and will through a diverse range of genres — pop R&B, alternative rock, UK garage, dream pop — showcasing his deepened musical capabilities.
The music video for "Death of Me," released along with the song, is drawing explosive reactions with its stylish visuals and EVAN's overwhelming stage presence. Meanwhile, buoyed by warm praise from global music fans, EVAN, who made a strong start, will begin full-scale music show activities tomorrow (the 10th) starting with M Countdown.
