'HYBE global group' &TEAM(&TEAM) wrote another career-high by surpassing 1.22 million copies on the first day of the new release. It is an astonishing streak of four consecutive million-seller works.
According to Hanteo Chart, a record sales tracking site, &TEAM's Korean mini album 2 'Mark on Me', released on the 8th, sold a total of 1,224,524 copies on the first day alone, sweeping the daily album chart 1st place. This comfortably surpassed their Korean debut album 'Back to Life' (1,139,988 copies on the first day) and set a new personal best first-day sales record.
With this, &TEAM completed the remarkable record of four consecutive million-sellers, starting with the Japanese third single 'Go in Blind' released in April last year, followed by the Korean mini 1 'Back to Life', the Japanese mini 3 'We on Fire', and now 'Mark on Me'.
&TEAM unveiled the title track 'Mark on Me' and diverse new stages including 'Good Boy', 'Love Jang', and 'Empty' for the first time at the showcase held on the album release day, captivating global fans. At the showcase broadcast worldwide via Weverse, TikTok and HYBE Labels' official YouTube channel, the members, appearing on the Korean stage for the first time in about 10 months, expressed special sentiments, saying, "We will always be grateful to LUNÉ (fandom name) and show you great stages."
The new release 'Mark on Me' boasts a deeper narrative by adding the weighty emotion of love to &TEAM's distinctive identity of 'wolf DNA.' It infuses the dramatic process of a wolf, who had locked itself away after being rejected by the world, changing after meeting the 'you' who accepted it, into six tracks of varied genres.
In particular, the music video for the title track 'Mark on Me' elicits admiration by alternating restrained emotion and raw ferocity within a dense, cool mise-en-scène. The nine members portray the wolf's desperation in giving themselves to a fated being with overwhelming acting skills, showing the essence of a 'tamed wildness.' The delicate eye contact and the explosive, dynamic energy of the performance are also viewing highlights.
Having reshaped global charts, &TEAM will launch full-fledged music show comeback activities starting tomorrow (the 10th) on M Countdown. They will then cap their dominant momentum by holding '2026 &TEAM CONCERT TOUR "BLAZE THE WAY" ENCORE in KSPO DOME' for two days on Oct. 3 and 4 at KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul.<
