An unexpected wedding rush is continuing in the entertainment world. From couples who announced their marriage after five months of public dating to stars who announced their weddings without any prior dating rumors, many are set to start anew this fall and winter.
On the 7th, OSEN reported that actor Yoon Jong-hoon will hold a wedding with actress Han Eun-seo on Nov. 1 at a location in Gangnam, Seoul. The two met while appearing together in the SBS drama "Return" and formed a connection.
Yoon Jong-hoon posted on his fan cafe that "I have found a precious connection, and now I will walk through life with that person," announcing his marriage. In particular, because the couple's relationship had not been known to the public until now, the sudden marriage announcement drew more attention.
On the same day, Baek Jin-hee also joined the ranks of married women. Her agency Management AM9 told OSEN that Baek Jin-hee will marry on Jan. 23 next year. The groom-to-be is a noncelebrity office worker living in Canada, and the couple plans to hold a private ceremony attended only by family members. Baek Jin-hee plans to continue her acting career after marriage and live between Canada and Seoul during her newlywed life.
It is not limited to just those couples. Last month, Jang Dong-yoon surprised fans with his marriage news in a handwritten letter. Having had no public dating process, he personally revealed, "In October, I will marry the person I have been with for a long time." According to OSEN, Jang Dong-yoon's bride-to-be is actress Kim Seung-yoon, who is five years younger. The two met as director and actor on the same project and continued their relationship, and after careful dating, they decided to become husband and wife.
Kwak Si-yang and former Lovelyz member Yoo Jiae are also set to marry in November. The couple, who nurtured their love for about a year, officially announced their marriage through their respective agencies on the 3rd. Both sides said they promised a future based on deep trust and love for each other, and the ceremony will be held privately with only family, relatives and close acquaintances in attendance.
There are also couples who moved quickly from public dating to marriage. Ji Ye-eun and dancer Vata, who acknowledged their relationship last April, will hold their wedding on Dec. 12. Both born in 1994, the same age, the two developed from "church friends" into lovers. At the time of the dating rumors, they admitted the relationship in less than an hour, and they did not hide their affection for each other on broadcasts afterward, ultimately tying the knot about eight months after going public.
Within just a few weeks, starting with Jang Dong-yoon, marriage news came in quick succession for Kwak Si-yang and Yoo Jiae, Ji Ye-eun and Vata, Yoon Jong-hoon and Han Eun-seo, and Baek Jin-hee. From couples who bore fruit after long relationships to stars who surprised fans with weddings without any public dating, different love stories are unfolding and the entertainment world is abuzz with one pink announcement after another.
