Singer-songwriter Baek A returns with a second full-length album after five years to sing about youth.
Baek A releases her second full-length album, Youth correlation, at 6 p.m. today (the 8th) on major global music platforms and begins full-fledged comeback activities. It is a full-length album released a full five years after her 2021 debut full-length album, Spaceship.
This new release, Youth correlation, is a "paean to youth" that, beyond the previous work's introspective confessions, captures the colorful aspects and relationships of youth experienced by confronting the world directly. Drawing on the mathematical concept of "correlation," she sensually unravels a life where excitement and collapse intersect as "positive correlation," "negative correlation" and "no correlation."
In particular, Baek A proved her remarkable growth as an artist by writing and composing all the songs on this album, producing them, and personally leading the planning of a solo performance and the production of a short film. The short film project, for which she personally wrote the narrative based on the album's tracks and edited the music, is expected to be a new attempt that crosses the boundaries of music.
Earlier, Baek A previewed the new songs at a solo concert last month, passionately connecting with fans. Parts of the short film will be unveiled through the music video released with the tracks, and the completed work will be officially presented later at an offline screening.
Since her 2018 debut, Baek A, who has won listeners' love with songs such as "The rim" and "First love," draws attention for the deepened musical worldview she will present.<
