Actress Baek Jin-hee spoke directly about her fiancé after announcing her marriage.
On the 8th, Baek Jin-hee released a video titled "I want to tell you" on her YouTube channel.
That day Baek said "I wanted to announce this big event first on YouTube, but it was inevitably reported in the press first," explaining why she appeared in front of the camera. She said "Still, I turned on the camera to convey my sincere feelings," and added "I never imagined I would say this with my own mouth. It still doesn't feel real," revealing her trembling emotions.
She then clapped and said, "I am getting married," announcing the wedding herself. Baek Jin-hee said, "I had a day full of gratitude because so many people congratulated me. I have never been congratulated like this in my life," and added, "It still doesn't feel real that the wedding is approaching."
Above all, the fiance, shrouded in mystery, drew the most attention. Baek Jin-hee said many people are curious about her future husband and revealed that the two have been in a long-distance relationship between Korea and Canada. Baek said, "I flew 14 hours to meet oppa, and oppa did the same," and confessed, "Long-distance relationships were not easy. At moments when I wanted to be together and see each other, we could not, and physical time and distance were blocking us."
Nevertheless, the time spent with her fiancé changed Baek Jin-hee. She said, "When we spent time together, I found myself becoming a girl. I would giggle at small things," and expressed affection by saying, "He is the person who taught me how precious and fun an ordinary day can be." The two naturally began to talk about a future together.
She also explained her fiancé's occupation directly. Baek Jin-hee answered curiosity by saying, "Many people are very curious, but he is an ordinary office worker." In particular, she said, "He is not a businessman or financier, nor a person with great wealth." She added, "He is the ordinary person who looks forward to Friday mornings the most," and said, "Even in Canada, on Fridays he talks about what he will do after work."
However, she was reserved about giving detailed personal information about her non-celebrity fiancé. Baek Jin-hee said she is more cautious now that it is a meeting of families and said, "I am fine, but I don't want to cause harm or hurt to the person who will become family." She also shared honest feelings about the upcoming wedding. Baek Jin-hee said that preparing for marriage makes her think a lot and mentioned so-called "marriage blues," saying, "I feel that way too." She noted that because of the nature of her job she cannot avoid attention but asked, "Please understand that I cannot talk about many things. I cannot tell everything."
Meanwhile, Baek Jin-hee announced that she will marry her non-celebrity partner on Jan. 23 next year.
