Broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon publicly called out an impersonating SNS account.
On the 7th, Hong Seok-cheon posted a photo on his SNS and wrote, "This is the impersonator. They made the ID deceptively. Be careful." He directly revealed the impersonating ID and urged caution against harm.
The photo Hong Seok-cheon shared contained a message sent by the impersonating account operator. The message included promotional copy that read, "Hello. I am truly sorry for bothering you. I created a study group that is operated completely free of charge. We share practical tips that help increase personal assets every day and economic and stock information, so even beginner investors can learn easily."
It also included the line, "There is no restriction on joining, and if you reply '1' we will immediately send you an invitation to join."
In response, Hong Seok-cheon clarified that the account was not one he operated and warned his followers. He publicly documented the impersonating account through his own SNS.
Earlier, in July, Hong Seok-cheon posted, "People are asking if it's really me, but I do not have a secondary account," urging caution about SNS impersonation. As impersonation continued afterward, he once again made a firm appeal.
