Actor and singer Yang Dong-geun explained why he began to put his faith into his rap lyrics.
On the 6th, the YouTube channel 'Studio' posted a video titled "the recovery story of young Yang Dong-geun who felt despair amid popularity." That day Yang Dong-geun opened by saying, "Until my 20s I wrote lyrics as if I were expelling every piece of shit in my head."
He confessed, "Around my 30s I thought, 'I have really smeared a lot of shit in my mouth,' and '(when people) listen, I'm smearing shit into their ears,'" which surprised listeners.
He added, "But this is really personal. Because listeners don't think that way. That's the biggest dilemma. Becoming a father makes you inevitably think about your influence."
The host asked Yang Dong-geun whether his children know that their father is an actor and a rapper. Yang Dong-geun, seeming to think his children do not yet exactly know their father's works, trailed off, saying, "I always have that fear. Wondering when they'll ask about those lyrics."
Meanwhile, Yang Dong-geun, who debuted in the 1987 KBS drama Top Lee, has been active as an actor and singer across television, film and stage.
