'HYBE global group' &TEAM(&TEAM) will make a comeback by releasing their second Korean mini album, Mark on Me, at 6 p.m. on the 8th.
This album, which melts the emotion of love into the group's distinctive identity of "wolf DNA," depicts the inner positive change experienced when a wolf who had been cut off from the world meets someone who accepts him as he is.
In the pop title track of the same name, "Mark on Me," the members freely move between low, weighty vocals and refreshing high notes, drawing an explosive emotional line.
In the lyrics, they plead to the person who healed their wounds, "tame me," and express a poignant wish to leave a mark that says "yours" on their scars. The performance also maximizes narrative immersion through restrained, striking movements and delicate facial acting instead of powerful group choreography.
The new record is richly filled with tracks of diverse genres, including the hip-hop song Good Boy, which showcases innocence and wildness; "Love jang," which recreates the 1990s analog sensibility; the comfortable pop R&B Accelerate; the emotional alternative rock ballad Empty; and the 2000s pop-punk style Night to howl!, proving an expanded musical spectrum across six tracks. In addition, top domestic and international producers such as Gree, Johnny Goldstein, Bang Si-hyuk, Soma Genda and Park Mun-chi participated in large numbers to raise the album's completeness.
Having already achieved remarkable results—surpassing 1.22 million copies in initial sales with their first Korean mini album and reaching No. 52 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with their Japanese album—&TEAM recently successfully concluded their first solo dome concert at Belluna Dome in Japan. Riding an unstoppable growth trajectory, they held a showcase at SBS Prism Tower in Seoul that day, and will continue the momentum with Asia tour encore concerts at KSPO Dome in Seoul on Oct. 3 and 4.
