Youngtak raised anticipation for his comeback by releasing portions of the tracks from his third full-length album GOGO.
Youngtak released a highlight medley video for the third full-length album GOGO on his official social media. The video sequentially features portions of all 12 tracks, from the first track Penguin to the final track PACEMAKER, heightening curiosity about the new album.
It draws attention with a unique structure that starts with a screen reminiscent of a racing car dashboard and moves from track 1 to track 12 along a navigation route. Each course includes not only a portion of the track's audio but also the names of the creators who participated in the lyrics·composition·arrangement and behind-the-scenes of Youngtak's concept photo shoot.
Scenes of Youngtak shifting between concepts, from his appearance as a racer to his role as a conductor, continue. The footage adds viewing pleasure by offering a glimpse of his increasingly diverse charm alongside the album preparation process.
Witty staging that used the title track "Kkeokeo" also captured attention. Whenever the route changed to a new course, the message "Kkeokeo" appeared, and sound effects that mimicked pressing a brake were added to complete a vivid video. It drew interest as a teasing piece of content that playfully conveyed the album's message, "What if you move a little differently than expected."
The 12 tracks revealed through the highlight medley encompass different genres and stories, raising expectations for the new album. The first track Penguin expresses a desire to live more freely than anyone else by naturally embracing a rhythm different from others, and Dosi Ra Sol Pa Mi Re Do poses the question, "Am I still myself," in a world where everything one knew is overturned.
The title track "Kkeokeo" sings courage—that it's okay to move in an unexpected direction—portraying moments when you have to go but don't want to and times when you fumble despite feeling like you know everything. "Vintage Love" talks about a relationship ripening, and "Old Radio" uses a father's worn radio that one cannot bring oneself to throw away as a medium to reveal feelings about family and memories.
The trot track "Heoheo (虛虛)" contains the calm sentiment of walking on with a wry laugh while looking at a life that came empty-handed and will leave empty-handed. "The weather is really nice" delivers a warm message that tomorrow will become clearer little by little if I'm with you, and "Draft saved" is a ballad track that captures a heart that, despite repeatedly writing and erasing, ultimately cannot forget, foreshadowing Youngtak's powerful vocal ability.
Next, "I can't sleep tonight" cheerfully expresses the excitement of sleepless nights caused by someone, and "VIDA LOCA" carries a free, energetic message urging listeners to go forcefully—GOGOGO—without fear or hesitation. Tracks spanning punk, pop, rock, ballad, trot, and country unfold different stories and showcase Youngtak's wide musical spectrum.
The final track PACEMAKER tells the story of us who match each other's pace and walk together until the end. It warmly concludes the journey GOGO seeks to portray and adds depth to the album's overall message.
The third full-length album GOGO is Youngtak's studio album released about three years after his second full-length album FORM, which came out in August 2023. Featuring a distinctive timbre and outstanding vocal ability that earned him nicknames such as "voice king" and "vocal powerhouse," the album includes 12 tracks including the title track "Kkeokeo," and Youngtak participated in the lyrics·composition·arrangement of 11 of the 12 tracks, more vividly conveying his musical color.
Meanwhile, Youngtak's third full-length album GOGO will be released on the 14th at 6 p.m. through various online music sites.
