"A Love Other Than Yours" Ahn Eun-jin expressed confidence in her chemistry with Seo Kang-jun.
On the 7th afternoon at The Saint Grand Ballroom in D-Cube City, Guro-gu, Seoul, a production presentation for KBS2's new Saturday-Sunday drama "A Love Other Than Yours" was held. Leading actors Seo Kang-jun, Ahn Eun-jin, Lee Joo-an, Jo Aram and director Hwang Seung-gi attended the event.
"A Love Other Than Yours" depicts a realistic, relatable melodrama in which Nam Gung-ho and Lee Mi-do, a couple in their 10th year of dating who had been familiar with each other, face unfamiliar emotions. It delicately portrays the realistic story of love and growth that unfolds as a long-time couple confronts unexpected emotional changes, conveying deep empathy and excitement to viewers.
Seo Kang-jun plays Nam Gung-ho, a 10-year boyfriend who for 10 years looked at only one person, Lee Mi-do (Ahn Eun-jin), and dreamed of a happy future. He is a character who then feels an unfamiliar thrill toward his junior at work, Park Su-a (Jo Aram).
Ahn Eun-jin played Lee Mi-do, who was once a promising independent film director but saw her confidence plummet as her projects were repeatedly canceled. She deeply loves Nam Gung-ho, with whom she has been dating for 10 years, but wanders between her dreams and love due to the deprivation reality gives, and begins to be shaken by Han Tae-seung (Lee Joo-an), a lawyer from the film company.
Meeting Seo Kang-jun for the first time, Ahn Eun-jin said, "We have differences from other romantic dramas: they are a 10-year couple, but they are comfortable and tinged with boredom. Although they love each other in their hearts, the relationship has become as familiar as it can be, and I tried to express that." She added, "Before filming, we did a lot of script readings and took time to get to know each other to persuade viewers so that people watching would think 'They've been dating 10 years—how comfortable they are.'"
She continued, "We are all easygoing people, so it was also easy to become close. We filmed comfortably on set," then laughed and said, "If you watch episodes 1 and 2, I think you'll feel 'the 10 years of relationship chemistry comes through.'"
Seo Kang-jun said, "I talked a lot with the director and Eun-jin nuna. We both thought we knew everything and acted. We prepared really hard for filming, but when we looked into each other's eyes, all that preparation showed so much emotion that it made the preparation seem meaningless." He added, "When I looked at Mi-do, I felt 'she has just become Mi-do.' I felt the emotions and feelings were deeply in place. I thought I just needed to receive what a great actor gives. I think we had good chemistry," expressing satisfaction.
Meanwhile, "A Love Other Than Yours" will premiere on the 12th at 9:20 p.m. <
