'A Love Other Than Yours' star Seo Kang-jun returned after winning the grand prize and, "I don't expect awards," he said, adding the candid and witty remark, "Isn't that unlucky?"
On the afternoon of the 7th at The Saint Grand Ballroom in D-Cube City, Guro-gu, Seoul, a production press conference was held for KBS2's new Saturday-Sunday drama "A Love Other Than Yours." The event was attended by lead actors Seo Kang-jun, Ahn Eun-jin, Lee Joo-an, Jo Aram, director Hwang Seung-gi and others.
"A Love Other Than Yours" depicts a realistic, relatable melodrama about a 10-year relationship in which the once-familiar lovers Namgung Ho and Lee Mi-do face unfamiliar feelings. It delicately portrays the realistic story of love and growth that unfolds as longtime partners confront unexpected emotional changes, conveying deep empathy and fluttering excitement to viewers.
Seo Kang-jun passionately plays Namgung Ho, a boyfriend of 10 years who for a decade has looked at only one person, Lee Mi-do (played by Ahn Eun-jin), and dreamed of a happy future. He is a character who begins to feel an unfamiliar thrill toward his junior colleague Park Su-a (played by Jo Aram).
Ahn Eun-jin played Lee Mi-do, once a promising independent film director whose confidence hit rock bottom after consecutive project cancellations. She deeply loves Namgung Ho, with whom she has been in a relationship for 10 years, but she drifts between dreams and love due to the deprivations of reality and begins to be shaken by Han Tae-seung (played by Lee Joo-an), a lawyer at the film company.
Seo Kang-jun won his first grand prize 12 years after his debut for "Undercover High School" at the 2025 MBC Drama Awards last year.
Returning for the first time after winning the grand prize, Seo Kang-jun said, "There can't be no pressure. But while filming I haven't thought, 'I should do better, I should work harder' just because I won some award. I approached every work with the same mindset. It's true that winning an award means you should do better. I always resolved to do my best, to worry, to consult, and to work fiercely to make it right," he said.
He continued, "I don't know what the results will be, but there should be results that match the generous awards I received. No, they must come out. (laughter) I did my best. I really, really worked very hard to surpass the limits I had," he said.
Seo Kang-jun returned to KBS eight years after the 2018 end of KBS2's "Are You Human Too?" When asked, "Do you expect good results?" he replied, "Some may think I'm being humble, but more than awards, how our work should go is more important. It's premature to have big expectations about awards. Isn't that unlucky?" he said, drawing laughter.
Meanwhile, "A Love Other Than Yours" will premiere on the 12th at 9:20 p.m. <
