The chemistry between Koo Kyo-hwan and Kang Ki-young in 'Resurrection Man: The Red' is already delivering laughs.
The film Resurrection Man: The Red (director Baek, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by Yong Film, co-produced by Super Fiction·YLAB·Studio Nungil), which is scheduled to open on the 30th, tells the story of job seeker Seok-hwan (Koo Kyo-hwan) — whose baseless confidence is his only qualification — who, after learning he has the ability to resurrect 72 hours after dying, is pursued in a mysterious chase.
As expectations rise for Resurrection Man: The Red with its mix of diverse characters and new action, attention also turns to the genuine friend chemistry Koo Kyo-hwan and Kang Ki-young will show.
Kang Ki-young plays Yeong-ha, Seok-hwan's only friend and a master of office life. He bickers with him over everything but is a close friend who, at decisive moments, steps up without hesitation for the other and is a warm character who does not spare harsh words when it's for a friend.
The two show genuine friend vibes through nonstop back-and-forth banter, and they react to Seok-hwan's sudden appearance with red hair with dry remarks. In particular, Kang Ki-young's charm is expected to continue in the film, such as when he suddenly uses bokbunja as an excuse to overcome a crisis.
Even in moments caught in crisis, anticipation for Resurrection Man is rising thanks to the verbal flavor and rhythmic back-and-forth that Koo Kyo-hwan and Kang Ki-young will display.
Meanwhile, Resurrection Man: The Red opens on Sept. 30.
