Group ILLIT member Minju covered Lee Hyori's 'Ten Minutes (10 Minutes)'.
On the 6th, ILLIT's official YouTube channel released Minju's 'Ten Minutes' cover video, drawing attention.
"Ten Minutes" is the solo debut song Lee Hyori released in 2003 after leaving the group Fin.K.L; it not only swept various No. 1 spots at the time but also won the grand prize at year-end music awards. Minju covered "Ten Minutes" for the first time in 23 years, infusing it with a different charm.
Minju reinterpreted the original in an R&B style and added her own color. With delicate vocals and a distinctive groove, she added her unique touch and heightened immersion with rich expressiveness.
The visuals that evoke Y2K sentiment are especially eye-catching. Lighting and the use of wind enhanced the Y2K feel, while the song's characteristic confidence and bold attitude drew attention. Minju's styling, which emphasized a kitschy yet mysterious visual, also left a strong impression.
Minju said, "'Ten Minutes' is a song I like and have been listening to a lot lately, so I really wanted to present it in my voice," and added, "It wasn't easy to express the sentiment of that era, but the process was fun."
